Apartments Monika is the perfect starting point for family hikes during your family vacation in Salzburg. Combined with a stop in rustic mountain huts, you can also indulge in culinary delights from our hut hosts.
Or you can set off for the most mysterious places in the Alps and discover the Johannis waterfall, the Jägersee, highland cattles in the village or many other special places with your family. The family hiking trails
Discover the adventure mountains “Geisterberg” in St. Johann and “Wagraini Grafenberg” in Wagrain. Hikes combined with a gondola ride into the magnificent mountains of Salzburg and countless swings, slides, climbing towers and much more.
Together you will find more than one hundred play stations, embedded in a beautiful nature and mountain experience world. Some of the paths are even suitable for strollers.

Are the temperatures soaring and you long for a cold lake? There are three swimming lakes in the immediate vicinity.
Only five kilometers away you will find the adventure bathing lake in the neighboring village of Eben. The family lake with a large water slide, children’s pool, playground, volleyball court and restaurant is not only a great diversion for the kids. Parents will also enjoy the large sunbathing lawn with shady trees. You want more? The Ebener Badesee can be reached on a beautiful bike path by e-bike or mountain bike. An optimal family bike path!
Natural swimming lake Reitdorf
Not far from our apartments in also the natural swimming lake in Reitdorf. It scores with mild water temperatures and best water quality. The shallow, slowly sloping shore is great for the first swimming attempts of the little water rats. At the Reitecksee in Reitdorf, six kilometers away, there is a kiosk with delicious ice cream, snacks and refreshing drinks. This lake is also easily accessible with children via a beautiful bike path.
The natural lake in Flachauwinkl
is about six kilometers away. There is a children’s playground, a volleyball court, a restaurant and another real sensation for the particularly brave! A high ropes course above the lake. If you want your bathing day to be particularly exciting, then definitely head to Flachauwinkel.

In about 40 minutes drive you will reach the Mozart city of Salzburg. The breathtaking old town of Salzburg, the Mirabell Palace, the Getreidegasse, Mozart’s birthplace and many other sights will make the time fly by.
You can make the kids happy with a visit to the Haus der Natur. You will find reptiles and various exhibitions about the past and modern times.
